In 2015, I was diagnosed with Perinatal Mental Illness.

Following that, I founded a movement called “Have you seen that girl?”.
It’s aim was to raise awareness of perinatal mental ill health; reach out to other parents and families; sign post to help and support; and campaign for Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Services for Northern Ireland.
In 2021, I was awarded the Points of Light Award –Prime Minister’s Office, 10 Downing Street – for Services to Perinatal Mental Health in Northern Ireland.
In 2024, I was both humbled and honoured to receive a MBE – For services to Perinatal Mental Health in Northern Ireland.
After 8 wonderful years, I made the difficult decision to close “Have you seen that girl”? to allow myself and family to move forward from that season of our lives and time to fully heal. You can read about that decision HERE.
I remain passionate about good mental health and wellbeing for all.
